Prior to going into it. Just an example of one of them. Made a few posts previously about this as others. These solutions are used by players for the past two years in Maplestory. They were just blocked this season on May the 22nd which was when major DDOS attacks were happening and Maple had lots of Maplestory M Mesos for sale downtime. When they solved the problems nobody was able to connect using these services anymore. Most probably blocked along with everything else.
Since then, I and others haven't made an effort to contact these services concerning the problem connecting to Global Maplestory, but we have also contacted Nexon about it through support. Both services explained they could no longer connect either after conducting multiple evaluations and trying different things. I've gotten mixed answers from Nexon. I really don't think the first one understood what I was inquiring as he said he'd pass it on to the programmers. I tried again a couple months later and was satisfied with a different response.
As you can view them seem to believe it's exactly like any other personal network. VPNs are obviously contrary to the TOS and while W[tfast and Battleping are equally personal networks that they alone should not be blocked as they're used by thousands of players who suffer from high latency. Battleping also uses the users IP address to login before connecting via the US server that Nexon would be able to see I would assume.
In addition, he states the game ought to be playable with no services that you have a broadband connection which is not correct. The delays are clear as day and not everyone lives Maplestory 2 Mesos near the servers in the US. With no services the overall gameplay experience is not smooth. There are noticeable delays in strikes and buffing. Also attempting to pull a double flash jump close to immediately is impossible without those solutions.
